What is Spinfolk?
A home for your record collection. Built for the people you share it with.
Spinfolk is a shared vinyl collection app for households. If you and a partner, family member, or flatmate collect records together, Spinfolk gives you one place to track everything you own, everything you want, and everything you might want to give each other as a gift.
It lives at spinfolk.app and works in any browser, on desktop or mobile. No download needed.
Your collection, together
When you sign up, you create a household. Think of it as your shared shelf. Everyone in the household can add records, browse the collection, and see exactly what you have. Search for an album and the details fill in for you: cover art, artist, year, genre. Adding a record takes seconds.
Before adding a record, Spinfolk checks whether it already exists in your household. If it does, you'll see a warning. No more coming home from a record fair with something you already own.
Wishlists that actually work
Every member of the household gets their own personal wishlist. Add records you want, then share your list with friends and family using a public link. They don't need an account to see it. They can even click to claim an item, so two people don't buy you the same thing.
Inside the household, if two people have the same record on their wishlist, Spinfolk flags it. A small detail, but a useful one.
When someone moves out
Collections change. When a member leaves the household, Spinfolk walks them through a simple transfer flow. They choose which records to take, and those move to their new household. The ones they leave behind stay with you. Clean, fair, no spreadsheets.
Free to get started
Spinfolk is free to use. Create a household, invite the people you live with, and start building your collection together.
